New Zealand - MacKenzie and Canterbury Backcountry Beauty - August 2024’

It’s no secret that my favourite locations to photograph have always been the raw and relatively untouched beauty of the New Zealand Backcountry. This truly is the quintessential New Zealand landscape with rugged mountains, valleys, lakes, tussocklands, and farms. Backing up to the majestic Southern Alps, the regions of Mackenzie and the Ashburton Lakes in Canterbury backcountry are world-class landscape photography locations. If you’re a fan of New Zealand and want to experience a whole new region away from the tourists where we’ll barely see another soul, then this is the Workshop experience for you. This workshop has been purposely scheduled for late winter to maximise the right weather conditions so we have snow-capped mountains and frosty mornings for our photography. If we’re lucky, we’ll also have snow on the ground.
