Cancellation Policy -
PLEASE NOTE- The workshop booking deposit is 100% non-refundable and non-transferable.
In the event that the workshop cannot take place due to Covid 19 or other serious government-related travel restrictions beyond our control, you may transfer your deposit & booking to a future workshop, use the funds in my online store to purchase products or put them towards a private workshop. (Private workshops may be in the field or via Zoom online). Should you be forced to cancel for unforeseen reasons such as serious illness then contact us to discuss alternative options.
If we do not meet the minimum number of participants and need to cancel, you will be fully refunded.
In case of severe weather or natural disaster beyond our control, we will discuss this with the client and may agree upon a mutual cancellation if the situation demands it, or set another date. Because we might need to cancel for the reasons above, we strongly advise our clients to have good travel insurance.
If you need to cancel a workshop due to serious personal or family reasons, and I agree to the transfer, your deposit can be applied to a future workshop. You will have 12 months from the date of cancellation to rebook; after this period, the deposit will be forfeited.
Payments -
Your booking will not be confirmed until we have receipt of your deposit.
The booking deposit is to be made via a bank transfer.
The final payment of workshop invoices is due one month before the commencement of the workshop.
For international clients a bank transfer is the best payment method via wise.com, PayPal payments will be accepted and will incur a 4% fee to cover PayPal fees. (Please inform us if you wish to pay via PayPal and the fee will be added to your invoice).
Participant requirements -
Our photography workshops are designed for those who are reasonably fit and in good health, ready to embrace moderate outdoor challenges. Expect intermediate hiking, with distances ranging from 2km to 7km, which may involve steep elevation gains, uneven, rocky, icy, or slippery terrain, and low-light conditions. Participants must be physically capable of navigating these conditions while keeping up with the group and carrying their own camera bags, tripod, and personal medical items for managing minor ailments. Travelers taking regular medication should bring an adequate supply in their carry-on luggage, and any medical restrictions must be disclosed upon booking to ensure safety and group cohesion. Photographers are required to have a solid understanding of their camera and equipment, including a comprehensive grasp of the exposure triangle—aperture, shutter speed, and ISO—and must have their camera configured for back-button focus to fully engage with the workshop’s creative demands. These requirements ensure a safe, enjoyable, and cohesive experience for all participants, while accounting for environmental factors such as snow, ice, wind chill, wet rocks, and cold weather.
Code of conduct -
To ensure an enjoyable and harmonious experience for all, participants are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately from the time of booking through the entire duration of the photography workshop. The group’s harmony is essential, and any form of harassment, disrespect, or disruptive behavior toward workshop hosts, fellow participants, or the general public will not be tolerated. Such actions may result in immediate removal from the workshop without the option of a refund or rescheduling, ensuring a positive and cohesive environment for everyone involved.
Passports, Visas & Insurance -
It is the responsibility of all clients, regardless of nationality and destination, to check with the consulate of the country or state they are visiting for current entry requirements.
As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, we recommend that you verify health and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate before departure.
You must arrange your own travel, cancellation, and photography equipment insurance. (This can save a lot of both financial and physical stress in an unfortunate event).
