Six days deep in winter, based between Wanaka and Twizel in the heart of the South Island. This is Lisa's and my spiritual home — we've spent over 25 years building a real connection to the Otago and Mackenzie regions, and that experience and regional knowledge give us plenty of locations to draw from, so we can put you in front of whatever's working best on the day, wherever the light and conditions are at their most rewarding. Icons like Aoraki/Mount Cook, Tasman Lake, and Lake Wanaka are all on the cards, snow-draped peaks and glacial lakes glowing under winter's soft light. Heated transport, cosy accommodation, and hearty meals keep you comfortable and focused on the shot. Small group, two guides, and the kind of one-on-one mentoring that only comes from a 4:1 client-to-guide ratio.

Fitness — Moderate hiking is involved, with steep inclines and uneven terrain over some hikes, so a reasonable level of fitness — plus solid camera fundamentals — will help you keep pace with the group.
