UTAH - RED ROCK CANYON COUNTRY
7-DAY LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR
( Limited to 8 places )
Ignite your photographic creativity in the heart of Utah’s red rock country on this 7-day Landscape Photography Tour.
Based around the dramatic desert landscapes of Hanksville and Moab, Utah’s canyon country feels almost otherworldly. Soft grey and rich multi-coloured badlands and “moonscape” ridges give way to sweeping red rock cliffs, vast canyons, and desert plains shaped by ancient erosion. Canyonlands National Park expands this drama into an immense maze of canyons, mesas, and buttes carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers, while nearby Arches National Park condenses the spectacle into a compact area filled with more than 2,000 natural stone arches, fins, spires, and windows. These pale red sandstone formations come alive in the warm light of sunrise and sunset, creating an endlessly varied playground of shapes and textures.
From the surreal textures of the Hanksville Badlands to the towering formations of Arches National Park, you’ll explore a landscape sculpted by time, light, and shadow—locations carefully selected for their exceptional compositional potential. Having photographed this magical region multiple times, Lisa and I will take you beyond the obvious and guide you to our favourite jaw-dropping scenes, along with lesser-known locations that offer unique perspectives and creative opportunities.
Travel in comfort, stay in quality accommodation, and enjoy a small-group experience designed to maximise shooting time while keeping things relaxed, creative, and fun. Guided by Brett and Lisa, you’ll receive personalised, hands-on tuition in the field. We’ll visit iconic locations, including Hanksville Buttes and Badlands, Arches, Canyonlands, and Goblin Valley, while also seeking out quieter viewpoints, abstract details, and intimate compositions that most visitors overlook.
This workshop is designed to elevate your landscape photography portfolio with bold, impactful desert imagery and striking abstracts. Join us in Utah’s canyon country and return home with a powerful collection of images—memories and experiences—that truly capture the spirit of the American Southwest.
