Six days through New Zealand's South Island in autumn, based between Queenstown and Twizel in the heart of the Otago and Mackenzie regions — my spiritual home for over 25 years. We'll chase golden foliage, crisp autumn light, and foggy, misty mornings at Aoraki/Mount Cook, Tasman Lake, and Lake Wanaka, along with the autumn colour around Glenorchy, Arrowtown, and the wider Queenstown region, drawing on decades of local weather knowledge and contacts most visitors never get access to. Comfortable transport, cosy accommodation, and hearty meals keep you focused on the craft. Small group, two guides, and the kind of one-on-one mentoring that only comes from a 4:1 client-to-guide ratio.

Fitness — Moderate hiking is involved, with steep inclines and uneven terrain over some hikes, so a reasonable level of fitness — plus solid camera fundamentals — will help you keep pace with the group.
