Named fire and ice, fire for the gorgeous early morning winter sun glow and ice for the sharp crunchy shards of ice in the foregorund. Taken post sunrise on a really stunning winters morning in the McKenzie back country of New Zealand. We investigated this location the day before and it was frozen solid with no reflections, I realised the great potential here so we returned the following day to have perfect conditions to shoot this iconic scene. I just love the overall sharp natural feel to the image and the soft blue feel it holds.
